About
A designer specializing in UX/UI, business systems, and creative solutions, based in Brisbane, Queensland, my expertise lies in brand and business development within the music and events industries, where I collaborate closely with agents, artist managers, labels, and festival promoters across Australia.
Since founding The Pushworth Group in 1991, my various roles—including Label Manager, Artist A&R Representative, Live Music Agent, and Artist Manager—have allowed me to oversee the release of hundreds of albums and singles, as well as numerous tours and festivals. Notably, I produced Australia’s largest community music event, the Caxton Street Seafood and Wine Festival, from 2009 to 2014.
Designing the online booking app, Aquarius™, for The Pushworth Group, my understanding of comprehensive customer journeys and systems, CRM solutions, user testing, tech hacks and UX and UI Customer interfaces, keep me attuned to market trends, analyzing subtle shifts in the industry and refining digital marketing strategies based on the data and analytics I gather.
I am a big fan of the story - the Music Artist story, the market story and my own, as I have navigated through this industry for the majority of my life. As the host of the podcast The Music Real, my 200 interviews during the pandemic lockdowns, provided a vital platform for musicians and industry figures to share their experiences and reflections on the impact of COVID-19 and more importantly told the story of an industry in chaos. As the author of The Musoverse, a Substack publication dedicated to the levelling up of music industry practitioners, I am dedicated to telling the stories of the diverse experiences in the Music Business eco system.
In today’s music industry, only 5% of your journey happens on stage—the rest unfolds online.
